The rebirth of Excelsior Springs is being contributed to by individuals, businesses and organizations, alike. New owners of the Elms Hotel are looking to invest $16 million in renovation to the spa and other amenities over the next few years. The City has just signed a new contract for the bottling of the mineral waters. Renovation to downtown buildings for new businesses and housing and the fast-growing west side shopping districts are all contributing factors.

A new park will be located on the west side of town near the high school and middle school campuses featuring two 28-ft. gazebo-style shelters, playground equipment, a walktrail and a handicapped-accessible fishing dock for the stocked pond.

The Excelsior Springs School District has provided a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center and professional-quality Tiger Sports Stadium, while also improving curriculum, technology and security for students in the classroom. The Excelsior Springs Medical Center is just completing an almost $9 million Outpatient Clinic and Wellness Center.

A City Master Plan is now in the works which will address important issues for taking Excelsior Springs into the 21st Century and beyond.

A variety of housing stock makes Excelsior Springs a great place to relocate to. From historic bungalows clinging to the steep valley walls, to two-story historic homes adjacent to the golf course, from ranch homes in established neighborhoods to new luxury homes in exclusive communities, Excelsior Springs provides an attractive investment in quality of life.
