Famous for its hamburgers and chili, Ray's Diner has been serving up breakfast and lunch specials for more than 75 years. The small diner has a lunch counter with stools, three booths and a small table for dining in. Old newspaper clippings from Excelsior Springs papers lie under the glass counter top. Movie posters, Excelsior Springs post cards and other vintage trivia cover the walls.
The Dari-B Drive-In is one of Excelsior Spring's most endearing family traditions. It was founded in 1954 . The Dari-B's uniqueness and popularity have grown over the years, with surrounding communities joining in with Excelsior Springs to call the famous ice cream establishment one of their favorite places to go.

The Presidential Suite at the newly opened Creekside Inn Bed and Breakfast, featured at right, displays old-world warmth with fireplace, wood flooring and mahogany walls. The suite features a queen-size bed, adjoining three-quarters bath, as well as a secluded courtyard with fountain. Excelsior Springs is also home to the famous Elms Resort Hotel and Spa where Harry S. Truman woke up as president of the United States. The famous photo of President Truman holding up a newspaper with the headline "Dewey Wins" was taken at the hotel. Today the hotel plays host to many events.
