The historic Hall of Waters is open throughout the holiday season with beautifully and uniquely decorated Christmas trees on display surrounding the world's largest mineral water bar. The Hall of Trees is a long-standing tradition in Excelsior Springs for over 20 years. This year the Holiday Homes Tour will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008. Ticket holders will be able to tour five homes that have been decorated for Christmas by local merchants. Tickets are available for $10 before the event and $15 at the homes. See home photos and locations online.

The Gregg Williams Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit organization to provide support and funding to local schools programs for kids in the Excelsior Springs area and funding to improve the Excelsior Springs community. The foundation is named for Gregg Williams, a 1976 Excelsior Springs High School graduate who was a record-breaking Tiger athlete in basketball, baseball and football, a former ESSD coach and teacher, a 2006 Excelsior Springs Hall of Fame inductee and is presently Assistant Head Coach - Defense for the Jacksonville Jagauars. The Tiger Classic Golf Tournament is held in Excelsior Springs during July, as well as annual Gregg Williams Football Coaching Clinics, Hall of Fame Induction and Calcutta Auction. Come rub elbows with the pros during this eventful weekend.

Kiwanis Club Annual Celebrity Roast

The Kiwanis Club Annual Celebrity Roast is modeled after the Celebrity Roasts popularized by Dean Martin and features friends and relatives of local sports figures, business persons and politicians taking turns at the podium to tell jokes and funny or touching ancedotes about the Roastee. Held in February each year at the Elms Hotel & Spa.

The first Mineral Water Bowl was played over 50 years ago and featured high school teams. In 1951 the Missouri High School Athletic Association banned post-season play that wasn't sanctioned by their organization. In the fall of 1954, the Mineral Water Bowl returned as a small college game. Today NCAA Division II teams compete for the prestigious trophy. Mineral Water Bowl is presented by the Excelsior Springs Quarterback Club played for the benefit of local high-school and youth activities programs in the area.
